{"id":29925,"date":"2021-11-25T08:53:56","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T07:53:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/allavellilegal.com\/?p=29925"},"modified":"2024-09-16T16:18:12","modified_gmt":"2024-09-16T14:18:12","slug":"stop-violence-against-woman","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/allavellilegal.com\/blog\/en\/stop-violence-against-woman\/","title":{"rendered":"STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMAN"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>For several years now, the <strong>European Parliament<\/strong> has been observing the International day for the Elimination of Violence against Women of 25 November with a special event bringing together Members of the EP and Members of the national Parliaments from across the European Union, in order to <strong>raise awareness of this important issue<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The FEMM Committee is organising an inter-parliamentary committee meeting on \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europarl.europa.eu\/cmsdata\/242765\/Draft%20Agenda%20FEMM%20ICM%20on%20VAW.pdf\">Eliminating Violence against Women<\/a>\u201d on 30 November 2021 from 09:00 to 18:45.<\/p>\n<p>This year&#8217;s meeting on &#8220;<strong>Eliminating Violence against Women<\/strong>&#8221; will consist of <strong>four sessions<\/strong> which will explore the current state of affairs in policy and practice in focused areas of gender-based violence.<\/p>\n<p>The first panel will be organised jointly with the Subcommittee on Human Rights and will deal with <strong>sexual violence as a weapon of war<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The second panel will deal with preventing and combating <strong>violence against women and girls with disabilities<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The third and fourth panels will be organised jointly with the Committee on Civil Liberties, <span style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">Justice and Home Affairs and deal with <strong>cyberviolence<\/strong> and with the Istanbul, Convention respectively.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For several years now, the European Parliament has been observing the International day for the Elimination of Violence against Women of 25 November with a special event bringing together Members of the EP and Members of the national Parliaments from across the European Union, in order to raise awareness of this important issue.
